Hydrating Skin Booster (Mulgwang Injection): When Do Results Appear and How Long Do They Last? Dosage and Pricing Guide
The two questions we hear most often from those considering a hydrating skin booster are “When will I see results?” and “How long will they last?” In this article, we answer both questions and provide information on dosage and pricing.
Summary in Three Sentences
The primary effect of a hydrating skin booster is improved skin hydration. As the skin becomes more moisturized, fine lines may also appear slightly softer.
Results can be felt as early as immediately after treatment, or within 1–2 weeks at the latest, and generally last from 2 weeks to 2–3 months.
At NAYA CLINIC, we use [뉴아티] for our hydrating skin booster, priced at KRW 59,000 per 2.5cc. A combined treatment of the hydrating skin booster and salmon injection (PDRN) is KRW 109,000 (all prices exclude VAT).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1. How does a hydrating skin booster change the skin?
The key effect of a hydrating skin booster is enhanced hydration. Hyaluronic acid injected into the skin draws in surrounding moisture, keeping the skin hydrated.
In a study of 55 women, non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid (an ingredient that works on the same principle as a hydrating skin booster) was injected three times into one cheek, and saline into the other. Three months after the final session, the cheek treated with hyaluronic acid was rated as having an overall better complexion.¹ However, as this study was conducted by a company with a vested interest, it is best viewed as reference material.
You may notice fine lines softening slightly after treatment, but this is a secondary effect of improved hydration.
Improvements in skin texture or elasticity are difficult to expect. If these are your goals, it is more appropriate to also consider skin boosters containing regenerative or collagen-stimulating ingredients.

The degree of results may vary depending on individual skin condition, treatment method, dosage, and product.

2. When do results appear, and how long do they last?
When results appear
Hydration and radiance can be felt as early as immediately after treatment, and within 1–2 weeks at the latest.
How long results last
Results generally last from 2 weeks to 2–3 months. Hyaluronic acid, the main ingredient, is gradually broken down in the body, so the effect naturally diminishes over time.
Recommended treatment schedule
Initially, it is common to receive about 3 sessions at 3–4 week intervals. While a single session can provide noticeable hydration, repeated treatments may help the skin retain moisture more consistently.
After about 3 sessions, results may last longer, up to approximately 3–6 months. Afterwards, maintenance intervals are set by the medical staff between 1–2 months and 6 months, considering skin dryness, age, and season.
The onset and duration of results may vary depending on individual skin condition, treatment method, number of sessions, and product.
3. What is the price and the appropriate dosage?
Because base volume and hyaluronic acid concentration differ by product, it is difficult to compare products by cc alone. NAYA CLINIC uses [뉴아티] for its hydrating skin booster, with 2.5cc as the standard dosage.
The required dosage generally differs between full-face treatment and partial treatment of areas such as the cheeks or around the mouth. Even for a small area, more volume may be needed if dryness is severe. The exact dosage is determined after assessing your skin during consultation.
If you are considering skin regeneration in addition to hydration, you may also choose a combined treatment of the hydrating skin booster and salmon injection.
Treatment | Dosage | Price |
|---|---|---|
Hydrating skin booster (뉴아티) | 2.5cc | KRW 59,000 |
Hydrating skin booster + Salmon injection | 5.5cc | KRW 109,000 |
Listed prices exclude VAT. Dosage and treatment composition may be adjusted after consultation depending on skin condition.
4. Why might you feel the treatment had no effect?
You may feel there was no effect in the following cases.
If you expected improvement of hollow areas or deep wrinkles
A hydrating skin booster focuses on improving hydration, so these effects are difficult to expect. For such concerns, skin boosters with other ingredients are more suitable.
If the skin improved briefly but quickly became dry again
The hyaluronic acid may have broken down quickly. Repeating the treatment about 3 times at 3–4 week intervals tends to help results last longer.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have experienced a hypersensitivity reaction to hyaluronic acid, or have a skin condition such as herpes or infection in the treatment area, it is advisable to postpone or avoid treatment.
5. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Can I receive a hydrating skin booster together with laser treatment?
It is possible, but some suggest caution because both injections and lasers stimulate the skin. If your skin is sensitive, alternating between the two with an interval of about 1–2 weeks is also a good option. This can vary greatly depending on the medical staff’s judgment and the type of treatment, so please confirm the details carefully during consultation.
Q. If I have an important event coming up, when should I get the treatment?
Because results appear relatively quickly, many people receive this treatment before important events. However, bumps, bruising, swelling, or redness may appear for a few days to about a week after treatment, and in areas with many blood vessels or thin skin, bruising may last longer than a week. In rare cases, infection or allergic reactions may occur, so it is best to plan your treatment at least one week in advance.
