Invasive vs. Non-Invasive Tips

Potenza tips are divided into invasive tips, which have needles, and non-invasive tips, which do not. The mechanism and effect differ depending on the tip.

Invasive tips insert very fine microneedles into the skin to deliver RF energy directly into the dermis. By stimulating collagen regeneration, they help improve pores, acne scars, and skin texture. The pumping tip (CP tip), which delivers skin booster solutions such as Juvelook, also belongs to the invasive category.

Non-invasive tips deliver RF stimulation to the skin surface without needles and are mainly used for lifting (firmness) and redness improvement. Because they act on the outer layer of the skin, pain is minimal and downtime tends to be short.

What Is Potenza Agnes?

Among Potenza's invasive tips, the single-needle type is sometimes called the "Agnes tip" when it is used to destroy sebaceous glands. Agnes is originally a dedicated device that uses RF to destroy sebaceous and sweat glands, and the nickname comes from the fact that Potenza's single-needle tip can play a similar role.

Key Effects of Potenza

Although there are many tips and a wide range of uses, the signature effect of Potenza is fundamental improvement of pores and acne scars. The mechanism can be summarized in three points.

  1. Collagen production: RF energy delivered to the dermis stimulates collagen production, which can help shrink pores, regenerate scars, and refine skin texture.

  2. Reduced sebum secretion: Microneedles stimulate the sebaceous glands to reduce sebum secretion, lowering acne breakouts themselves and addressing the root cause of scarring.

  3. Combined skin boosters: Depending on each person's skin condition, collagen-boosting or anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects can be added, offering synergy beyond a single treatment.

How many sessions do I need?

Generally, 3 or more sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart are recommended. However, if you are combining it with other treatments such as Fraxel, or if your skin needs more time to recover, the interval may be extended to more than a month. We recommend a thorough consultation with your doctor before treatment.

Potenza FAQ: From Results to Pain and Downtime

Does it actually work for pores?

  • I got it because my pores had become enlarged, and by week 2 my pores had tightened a lot and my skin was in great condition.

  • It was only my first session, so I'm not sure yet whether my pores shrank, but my skin became softer. I was told it takes 3–4 sessions to see results, so I plan to keep going.

  • After one session I can't tell much difference in my pores yet, but I can clearly see improvement in my skin texture and tone, so I plan to continue.

  • I've been getting it regularly for my pores. The large scars haven't completely disappeared, but my pores look neatly refined and my skin feels firmer too.

  • I had acne scars, sagging pores, and mild redness, and after 3 sessions spaced one month apart, the small scars faded significantly.

How painful is it, and how long is the downtime?

  • There was some pain during the treatment, but the redness settled after 2–3 hours, so I could go about my day.

  • I had it done on my nose pores. The pain was bearable and the swelling wasn't bad.

  • Even with numbing cream, it hurt quite a bit. My skin is on the sensitive side, so some redness remained until about day 7.

  • It hurt, but my skin felt firmer, so I'm satisfied. There was a lot of redness on the day of treatment, but it went away the next day.

  • It hurt more than Fraxel, but the results were good. By week 2, the pores in my butterfly zone had shrunk enough to be covered with tone-up cream.

Is it more effective when combined with a skin booster?

  • I got Potenza with Juvelook for my pores. My skin flaked off around day 4, and by day 7 it felt smooth.

  • I got it together with salmon injections (PDRN). I was told results would appear after about a week, but by day 3 I could already see my pores shrinking and my skin texture improving.

Reviews reflect individual experiences, and results, pain, and recovery time may vary depending on skin condition.

Potenza Key Information at a Glance

Q. When will I start to see results?

Because Potenza works by stimulating collagen regeneration, results begin to appear 2–4 weeks after treatment. For visible change, 3 or more sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart are recommended.

Q. What precautions and aftercare should I follow?

For invasive treatments, sufficient moisturizing and sun protection are very important during the regeneration process. When flaking appears 3–4 days after treatment, let it fall off naturally rather than peeling it. Please avoid intense exercise, alcohol, and saunas, which can heat up the skin, for one week.
